Tanker 3 Tanker
3 was built in 2005 by 4 Guys Firetrucks of Meyersdale, PA. Funds
for the truck were made possible through a FEMA grant. The apparatus
is built on a Spartan Chassis. There is seating for 6 firefighters;
5 with air packs and the driver. It is powered by a 500 hp Cummins
diesel and has an Allison 4000 EVS transmission. Other features
include a 2500 gallon poly tank, a 2100 gallon folding tank,
two side and one rear dump chutes, and a Hale 2000 gpm single-stage
pump. There is 1200 feet of 5 inch LDH in the hose bed along with
500 feet of 3 inch and a 250 foot lay of pre-connected 2.5 inch
hose. There are 3 cross lays each containing 200 feet of 2 inch
line. The vehicle also carries an 8000 watt generator.
